Medjool Date and Apple Crumble – The Perfect Dessert with a Natural Sweet Touch
Ingredients
For the Filling:
- 4 Medjool dates: Finely chopped.
- 3 Granny Smith apples: Peeled and diced into small cubes.
- A handful of golden raisins.
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
- ¼ cup coconut cream.
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup.
For the Crumble:
- 1 medium egg (M).
- 2 cups almond flour.
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil: Melted.
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
2. Prepare the filling:
In a large bowl, combine the chopped dates, diced apples, golden raisins, cinnamon, coconut cream, and maple syrup. Mix well until evenly combined.
3. Prepare the crumble:
In a separate bowl, mix the almond flour, egg, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Use your hands to work the mixture until it forms a crumbly dough.
4. Assemble the dish:
Spread the filling evenly at the bottom of a baking dish. Crumble the dough mixture over the top, covering the filling completely.
5. Bake:
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the crumble is lightly golden and the apples are tender.
